“My daughter has already said she wants to attend the next holiday session and when I asked her what she would tell someone who wasn’t sure if they should attend or not, her response was “You should go because it is really fun, the teacher (Syndi) is really nice, and you get to learn lots about friendship and yourself!”

Amy

“My daughter went to the glow workshop and even though she was nervous at the start she felt comfortable for me to go because Syndi was so inviting and friendly. After the session my daughter wouldn’t stop talking about it and all the things they had done. We will be keen to attend another one!”

Lisa

“Emily said she had a fun happy-filled day – she really enjoyed it….. she said she liked it all and enjoyed meeting new girls. I think its a great day – gets them interacting and taking learning new strategies…. boosts confidence.”

Inspiring and empowering workshops for pre-tween girls aged 8yr to 11yrs.

Supporting pre-tweens (8 to 11yrs) to discover their inner confidence, build courage and develop a growth mindset so they can be the best version of themselves!  We love facilitating and empowering our girls using positive psychology and growth mindset principles.

We facilitate 4 different school holiday programs – SHINE, SHIMMER, SPARKLE & GLOW.  We rotate different workshops throughout the year.  We always focus on the same core topics, however, there are different activities offered across the program.  This means your daughter or glow girl can attend all 4 of our programs – “Shine, Sparkle, Glimmer and Glow” workshops without repeating the same activities.

Our workshops explore identity, strengths, friendship, friendship issues, resilience, growth mindset, gratitude, and mindfulness/relaxation.  We have so much fun, and the girls love to participate in the art and craft activities.  They also love the dancing and drama role plays.  With such vibrant discussions, there is always lots of laughing!

All the girls receive a super cute gift bag and a Certificate of Completion at the end of the full-day workshop. Our instructors are experts in their field and have completed First Aid training, Police Clearance, and Working with Children Checks.

Please note that as a registered Covid safe business our COVID-19 Plan is always in place, to enable us to operate according to Government requirements, and with participant safety and health our number one priority.

  • IDENTITY

The girls will gain a stronger sense of self which can contribute to healthy self-esteem. The more we understand ourselves and what brings us happiness and joy the more self-assured and secure we feel in ourselves.

  • STRENGTHS

Understanding our strengths both in characters like being kind, caring or honest and inactivity, like when we are doing things like school, sports, music or art. Identifying these strengths helps us to build resilience in challenging times and supports our overall wellbeing.

  • MINDFULLNESS

Exploring mindfulness and relaxation the girls will learn strategies to calm the mind and body when they are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stressed. The girls will participate in a beautiful, calm and tranquil guided meditation.

  • GRATITUDE

Unpacking all the different things that we are thankful for, our family, our friends, our community, our school etc. and given the year that was 2020 having a newfound appreciation for the little things in life that bring us joy. Writing down the things that we are grateful for contributes to a positive mindset as well an overall appreciation for life.

  • POSITIVE
    FRIENDSHIPS

What makes a healthy positive friendship? What are the elements that we need to ensure we have positive healthy connections to our friends and family? The girls will work together to come up with the essential elements we need for positive relationships.

  • MANAGING FRIENDSHIP ISSUES

Appreciating diverse perspectives, different values, opinions and attitudes all form part of developing an awareness. Thinking about what is happening for others, considering their feelings, needs and interests the girls will come up with ways to manage friendship conflict and communicate effectively using empathy.

  • GROWTH VS FIXED MINDSET

This is one of my favourite topics understanding the concepts of a Growth mindset and the process of “I can’t do this YET” helps the girls realise that every learning experience is a chance to grow and every mistake is normal! Progress not Perfection.
